Fresh calls for the State Services Commissioner to go - this time, from a government minister.
Peter Dunne says the whole agency needs an overhaul in the wake of the Roger Sutton saga.
Mr Dunne says the commission needs a "more vibrant, independent leadership" that's not "politically beholden" to the government.
"Instead of being agency that's there to monitor performance and set standards and ensure that they're achieved, it seems to me that it's fallen into the trap of becoming a protector of the government of the days' interests," he says.
