A Wellington school has sent all students homes following an anonymous bomb threat.
Police are at St Patrick's College in Kilbirnie, after the school received an email containing the threat at around 10 this morning.
A notice to parents on the College's website said after discussing the situation with police, the decision was made to evacuate the College.
Officers were at the school and were working with St Patrick's management team in relation to the incident.
“The school has decided to take the precaution of sending the students home for the rest of the day while police investigate,” police said.
All students and staff have been sent home for the rest of the day with school set to resume as normal tomorrow.
