We claim to be accepting of the Rainbow Community, but figures suggest otherwise.

A Westpac survey has found just 43% of heterosexuals believe their work colleagues are accepting of lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans-gender people.

It finds a quarter of people from the Rainbow Community have felt uncomfortable from comments made at work, compared to just eight percent of straight people.

That's despite more than half of respondents saying they accept the Rainbow Community, and 67% of people claiming to be comfortable working alongside someone from it.
