Power bills are on the way up.

This follows the Commerce Commission's final electricity distribution price-quality path decision released today.

It sets out the maximum revenue power companies are allowed to earn.

Vector says its price will rise by an average of 0.8 percent next year.

Transpower has been allowed to increase its revenue by just over two percent.

Transpower’s maximum revenue for the five year period has been set at 4.6 billion dollars.
