Michael Jackson, Tupac, and now... Jacinda Ardern?
The Prime Minister is set to be the first world leader to attend an official engagement as a hologram, at Auckland's Techweek opening today.
Organiser Courtney Peters says they created a special delivery platform for the PM's appearance.
She says it will give the illusion Ardern is there and three-dimensional, and she will walk out and introduce Techweek on stage.
It may help with the Digital Media Minister's goal to try and get more girls to set their sights on a career in the tech industry.
Clare Curran is speaking to around 200 secondary school girls this morning as part of TechWeek.
Curran says part of the reason for the huge gender imbalance in the industry is a perception that technology is a boy's interest.
"We need to be doing more in terms of the way that those choices are communicated. That's around educating teachers, that's also about educating parents about the sorts of things they could be encouraging their children to be looking at."
Curran says these are the jobs of the future and young women need to seize the opportunities too.
Techweek runs May 19 to 27, and involves more than 500 events across the country.
