Kim Dotcom is being given extra time to make his case against a possible deportation order.
Immigration New Zealand is considering his status after it emerged the ex-pat German had failed to declare a dangerous driving conviction when he applied for New Zealand residence.
The agency says it has this week granted Mr Dotcom's advisers an extension until the first of July to make submissions on the matter.
The extra month's been given to allow them time to consider amendments to immigration laws that apply to deportation liabilities.
