A team of 12 staff made it to the site this morning.

They managed to undertake some preparation work before being sent back to the township due to deteriorating weather.

Inspector John Canning said you can't risk safety.

Meanwhile, the Transport Accident Investigation Commission said drone footage will be analysed this afternoon.

The aim is to try and find any clues pointing to the cause of the crash.

The bodies of three men remain at the scene of Saturday's accident.

The bodies of Katharine Walker, Cynthia Charlton and Josephine Gibson have already been retrieved, along with a male victim who has yet to be formally identified.

Rain, thick grey cloud, and wind have been the biggest enemies for the agencies working to recover the bodies of the victims.

With the glacier moving at around one metre per day, recovery teams have a significant challenge to counter.
