Cadbury's workers will meet with the E Tu union in Dunedin today to discuss the proposed closure of the city's plant.
Of the 362 staff members who face losing their jobs, those who are members of E Tu will join the meetings today.
E Tu will then meet with their employers, Mondelez, on Thursday.
Union spokesperson Neville Donaldson said the meetings will be used to report back to members about their discussions with Mondelez so far, and to answer any questions.
The consultations between E tu and Mondelez are expected to take two days, before the union plans any further action.
