Police have confirmed two bodies found in the Fiordland National Park are that of two Canadian tourists.
The bodies of 23 year olds Louis-Vincent Lessard and Etienne Lemieux were found on Monday in the Kepler Track area.
Southern District Police are working with Canadian consular services in New Zealand and in Montreal.
They are also working towards repatriating the two men back to Canada as soon as possible.
Families of the two men have released statements - saying they'd like to thank New Zealand Police for their efforts.
