Auckland DHB is being asked to apologise to mortuary workers who claim they were bullied on the job.
Former staff claim they've been bullied for speaking out about bodies being disrespectfully handled at Auckland City Hospital mortuary.
Allan Halse, who represents one of the workers, has written an open letter to DHB chairman Dr Lester Levy, demanding an apology.
"There's 10,000 employees at the Auckland DHB, step up, take responsibility, show leadership and address the issue."
Dr Levy said the DHB staff are employed by the chief executive, not by members of the board itself.
He's confident the DHB management will resolve the matter, working with the Employment Relations Authority and WorkSafe.
Auckland DHB said it has always taken bullying allegations seriously and will continue to do so.
