A chance for people nearing the end of their lives to be included in the ongoing euthanasia debate.

Otago University PhD student Jessica Young is looking for terminally ill volunteers to share their thoughts on assisted dying.

It's the first time those affected by future legislation are specifically being asked for their views.

Miss Young said she wants to hear from a wide range of people.

"People living rurally, people from different ethnicities and backgrounds, trying to reach a range of views and find as many people who are willing to talk to me as possible."

Anyone wanting to take part can email Miss Young at [email protected].
