More children are getting out and getting active, according to a new government survey report.
Green Prescription Active Families programmes are community-based initiatives, designed to increase physical activity in children aged between five and eighteen.
The latest survey shows 87 percent of families in the programme have noticed positive changes in their children since joining, such as increased energy and confidence.
As of June this year, just over 1000 children, young people, and families had been referred to the programme.
Nearly half of those children were from low income families.
