Medical school graduates have revealed the hospitals they most want to work in.
Rotorua Hospital has come top in the survey, with Taranaki and Wellington ranked second and third.
Taranaki DHB's Dr Jonathan Albrett believes his hospital's high ranking could be down to its award winning training programme.
He created a training programme 4 years ago which has received an award of innovation from the National Health Round Table.
It helps graduates deal with rapidly identifying and treating a patient's problems.
He said there are small steps which can mean a world of difference for a young, inexperienced doctor.
One part of the programme involves practice scenarios with feedback sessions on how to improve.
