A woman has been struck and killed by a train in the Auckland suburb of Henderson.
Police say at this stage it is not known how the woman came to be in the path of the train, but it appears the incident happened about 100 metres away from the level crossing.
Police are at the scene at Mt Lebanon Lane, where two trains are stopped.
