Teams are refusing to give up searching for North Canterbury man Raymond Finnie.
This morning around 25 people will again search for the 74-year-old who's been missing for 10 days.
His car was found abandoned on Whitecliffs Road, near Hororata, last Wednesday.
Police and his family are concerned for his health as he's recently had a stroke.
Senior Sergeant Roy Appley said everyone will be out again early.
"There's approximately 25 police and LandSAR volunteers involved and at times we've used a search and rescue dog and helicopter."
He said the terrain of the area makes the search especially difficult.
"Unfortunately the areas is very thick with scrub and pine plantations and so the searching has been quite difficult."
Appley said the search will keep going until they've exhausted every option, and at some stage they'll have to decide how much longer to look but that won't be until they've done everything they can.
