There's concern for a 37-year-old Coromandel man who was last seen on June 1st, more than a week ago.

Police, friends and family say Shannon Makowharemahihi's disappearance is out of character.

He's described as a very spiritual and private person who often goes into the bush to meditate.

The missing man's possible in a white 1995 Hiace van with the rego number CNF338.

Police want anyone with information that might help.
