Six helicopters and nine fire crews are continuing to fight a blaze which has spread across a hundred hectares in Southland - five kilometres north of Dipton.Â
The fire started just after 10 this morning and has damaged pine and commercial forestry.
Strong winds continue to fan the blaze
Earlier, a fire crew battled windy conditions for three hours to put out a scrub fire in Mossburn.
The fire's burnt around a hectare of vegetation. .
And a third fire, in Waipahi, had to be put out twice after it flared up again this afternoon.
