The group overseeing Dunedin Hospital's redevelopment is refusing to apologise over allegations of lengthy delays.
More than 120 people turned out to the Southern Partnership Group meeting at the Otago Museum tonight, over frustration at a lack of progress.
The group says it's working towards a shortlist of options to rebuild the hospital.
The final option will be developed into a Detailed Business Case by the middle of next year.
Chairman Andrew Blair said they are already speeding up the process.
He's told the meeting they're approaching the redevelopment thoroughly, and won't be building a replica of the current hospital model.
