UPDATED 11.25am: Neighbours near Yates Park in Mangere in south Auckland say they have seen drug dealing in the park where three men were shot early this morning.

Dawn Williams, who lives opposite the park, said the small reserve was a drug dealing place.

Another neighbour said she saw the same cars visiting the park regularly.

They say they called the police about it but they didn't do anything.

Senior Sergeant Kevin Tiernan said he is disappointed by the lack of co-operation by the people who were at the scene when three shots were fired into a crowd of 30 to 40 people who were drinking in the park.

He said ESR experts had confirmed that all three shots came from a shotgun but police had not recovered a weapon.

They are looking for the shooter.

A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious but not life-threatening condition with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and leg while two others, aged 16 and 24, suffered leg wounds.

There's no CCTV set up in the reserve, but Tiernan said Police are considering broadening the area in which they request CCTV footage.
