A woman in her 30s and a 16 year-old are to face the courts in Christchurch today, over the attack on a man found outside Sumner Surf Lifesaving Club.
The 38-year-old woman was arrested last night, and charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The 16-year-old is accused of burglary, and being an accessory after the fact.
Police are still doing forensic work at three properties in Christchurch.
They are also interested in sightings of a gold Toyota Vitz car around Ferrymead and Sumner area on Thursday night.
The victim is still in a critical condition in hospital.
