A pair accused of shooting an Auckland man in the face at the weekend have made brief court appearances.
A 16-year-old has been remanded in Child Youth and Family custody after appearing in the Auckland Youth Court.
He's jointly charged with a 27-year-old Panmure man of unlawfully possessing a .22 rifle, presenting it at the complainant and causing him grievous bodily harm with intent to do so.
The older defendant's facing further charges of possessing bongs, a cannabis plant and a meth pipe.
He's also been remanded without plea until next month.
The victim was taken to Auckland Hospital with a serious but not life-threatening wound to the right side of his face.
