Two new charges have been filed against a New Zealand actor who is accused of sexual assault.
The man, who has name suppression, pleaded not guilty in a trial that was abandoned after two days in December.
The two new charges of indecent assault - laid in the Auckland District Court today - bring the total number of charges to 16.
During the trial, the prosecution alleged the man approached women at group acting classes and told them they would benefit from private and secret one-on-one sessions.
It was during those classes the alleged offending happened between 2010 and 2013.
The defence says the sexual assaults never happened and a group of women had conspired together - after one of them felt slighted because the actor had ended their affair.
