The mother of a teenager accused of murder has been sentenced to home detention and community work for interfering with the scene of the killing.
Kelly Kirk has appeared in the High Court in Wellington this morning charged in relation to the death of Adam Watkins in Lower Hutt in February.
Her daughter Darryll is accused of killing Mr Watkins.
Kirk was today sentenced to eight months home detention and 160 hours community work.
Details around the offending are suppressed, so as not to prejudice the murder trial.
