Police have pursued a man from one part of west Auckland to another - with reports of police vehicles travelling up to 180 kilometres an hour.
A Newstalk ZB caller saw police cars heading from all directions, some travelling at excessive speeds.
Police say they began pursuing a vehicle after the driver failed to stop on request, as the manner in which he was driving concerned them.
It began on State Highway 18 in Henderson - ending at the Greenhithe Bridge.
The man was arrested and there were no injuries, but his vehicle did clip another during the pursuit.
Police are investigating the incident.
