The man accused of killing a Christchurch toddler has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Fifteen-month old Ihaka Stokes was fatally assaulted earlier this month, leaving him with fractured bones and other non accidental injuries.
The 22-year-old accused of his murder appeared at the High Court in Christchurch this morning where his lawyer Phil Shamy entered the pleas.
Justice Cameron Mander granted continued suppression of his name until a new hearing can be set to argue the issue.
The reasons for the order have also been suppressed.
The man was remanded in custody until October 2nd.
