UPDATED 10.52AM:Â Police are hunting three men over a suspicious death in Upper Hutt.
A homicide investigation was launched after a body was found at a house in Ward St, Wallaceville, shortly after midnight.
"Upon arrival, they located a person deceased inside the address,'' a police statement said this morning.
No other details about the person, including their age or gender, or any other information about the scene have been released.
They did not believe firearms were involved and had not recovered any weapons.
Detective Senior Sergeant Warwick McKee, of the Wellington Criminal Investigations Bureau, said the property had been cordoned off and was now the subject of a scene examination today.
Scene examination tents have been erected at the property.
"Police would like to hear from any members of the community that may have any information in regards to any persons involved in this matter,'' he said.
