UPDATED 12.50PM: Black Widow Helen Milner has had her application to appeal to the Supreme Court dismissed.

Milner was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a 17-year non parole period for fatally poisoning her husband Phillip Nisbet in 2009.

The Court of Appeal previously rejected her argument that Mr Nisbet committed suicide.

The Supreme Court says if convincing evidence emerges a properly constituted application for leave can be considered, but it has declined Milner's bid for now.
