The owner of a stolen car crashed by an underage driver during a chase in Waikato wants the child to pay up.
The car crashed just off State Highway 1 near Huntly yesterday, injuring all three occupants.
A 10-year-old boy and two 13-year-old girls were inside, as the car reached speeds of up to 135 kilometres an hour.
Auckland man Harry Gosselman said it's disturbing to find out young children had been driving around in his Mazda Logo.
It was stolen from outside his Green Bay house early on Wednesday...and now he's looking for reparation.
The car is worth about $2500 but Mr Gosselman only has third party insurance.
