Christchurch Police wish to speak with anyone with information on the movements of Oliver Johnston, also known as Oliver Greene.
Police are investigating a serious assault on him last weekend at Jelfs Road, Woodend.
Police are also investigating a murder at Jeff's Road - few details of that investigation have been released.
There's no indication at this stage as to whether the two inquiries are linked.
