Terry Serepisos has been discharged from bankruptcy today.

The Insolvency and Trustee Office said the former reality TV host, Wellington Phoenix owner and property developer was discharged today.

It comes the same day as Inland Revenue decides whether the former reality TV host's 81-year-old mother should appear as a witness in a child support case.

The Official Assignee, which manages personal insolvencies, last month objected to Mr Serepisos' release from bankruptcy, which would normally last for three years.

Declared bankrupt in 2011 owing about $203 million, Mr Serepisos was due to be discharged on October 7 until the objection was filed.

The High Court would decide when Mr Serepisos would be released from bankruptcy, an Official Assignee spokesman said.

But the insolvency and trustee register records Mr Serepisos has been discharged from bankruptcy today.

Mr Serepisos' lawyer was not immediately available for comment.

Mr Serepisos reappeared in the Family Court today.

He first appeared a month ago, after his arrest at Wellington Airport over child support payments.

Mr Serepisos today filed an affidavit of assets and liabilities at the Family Court.

At today's hearing, the Inland Revenue Department was given a week to decide whether any other witnesses were to be summonsed.

One possible witness would be Mr Serepisos' mother.

Mr Serepisos' lawyer John Langford said his client's mother was 81 and had limited command of the English language "but if Inland Revenue want to do that, that's up to them."

Mr Serepisos will reappear in court on November 25.

"Mr Serepisos is happy to be examined any time," Mr Langford said.

"We are still deciding whether or not to summons Mr Serepisos' mother, as much of the information before the court already concerns her...bank statements," Inland Revenue's lawyer Tim Lancaster said.

Mr Serepisos was arrested on arrival at Wellington from Greece on September 22.

"I was a bit flabbergasted when I turned up at the airport and suddenly I got taken away and arrested for child support," he said after that appearance.

Mr Serepisos said he visited Greece to look after his mum, who has now returned to New Zealand. He said he stopped paying child support because he went bankrupt in 2011.

Mr Serepisos was not keen on talking to media immediately after today's appearance.

He will reappear on November 25.
