Travel agents say air passengers will understand that safety comes first.
More than 6,000 people will be impacted by disruptions to Air New Zealand flights, which will continue into next week over engine checks.
It's rescheduled and cancelled services as manufacturer Rolls-Royce works on a global issue with some of the Trent 1000 engines that power Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
Travel Agents Association CEO Andrew Olsen says travellers need to be pragmatic.
"Air New Zealand's network is vast, and their safety is their priority.
"That should be what families and decision makers around holidays are thinking about."
Olsen has also offered some travel advice for affected passengers.Â
He says travellers should be re-booked onto a new flight and may be eligible for a refund.
"The rules of the fares that have been provided at the time of purchase will probably have some sway in this but they're difficult times."
