Two kite surfers have been rescued after striking trouble today.
Coastguard Northern Region says the kite surfers were found clinging to a navigation mark near Cockle Bay, in East Auckland.
A rescue team from Howick arrived and took them to a point where they could walk back to shore.
Neither kite surfer was injured.
