The New Zealand hockey players' association is playing down the hitch to two players playing in the Hockey India League early next year.
Simon Child and Nick Wilson are the only two Kiwis to be picked up by teams, though the back end of the competition clashes with a Black Sticks training camp.
The players and Hockey NZ will meet tomorrow to work through how they'll cope with it, but players' association manager Phil Gaze says it won't prevent the two from going.
"Hockey New Zealand have been fully supportive from day one. The only issue has been when the dates have been changed and it's just made it a little bit more contentious for both parties with that clash of the time of that training camp and the final series."
Phil Gaze says it rests on a couple of worst case scenarios, and isn't a major factor.
