Five Black Sticks now in Hockey India League

By: Brenton Vannisselroy | Other Sport News | Saturday January 26 2013 8:54

There are now five Black Sticks in the Hockey India League.

Defenders Dean Couzins and Andy Hayward have joined Simon Child at the Delhi Waveriders, replacing the side's two original Pakistan players.

Steve Edwards has been added to the Mumbai Magicians roster to replace one of their four Pakistanis.

Hockey India sent back all nine Pakistan players taking part in the competition following protests over the brutal killing of Indian soldiers by the Pakistan army.

Nick Wilson plays for the Ranchi Rhinos.
