Manawatu putting Auckland loss behind them

By: Nick Walker | Latest Rugby News | Wednesday September 5 2012 17:30

Manawatu's embracing the short ITM Cup's turnaround.

The Turbos meet Northland in Whangarei tonight, just three days after their heavy loss to Auckland at Eden Park.

Manawatu lock Mike Fitzgerald says they're glad to have the chance to quickly put that result behind them.

Fitzgerald says the focus for them is better tackling.

"A lot of work on defense really that's what let us down. Our attack was alright. We're working hard enough too, just defense let us down."

Kick-off's at 7:35pm.
