Danny Lee is right back in contention to secure his PGA Tour card for next year.
The Kiwi number one has fired a seven-under par 65 in the fourth round of the final stage of Qualifying School to swiftly move up the leaderboard.
After starting the day well back at two-under, Lee's moved to a tie for 46th at nine-under par and just three shots outside the crucial top 25 where he would secure his place on Tour for next year.
There are two rounds remaining in California.
Meanwhile, Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell leads the World Challenge invitational tournament by two shots also in California.
McDowell's on 13-under, ahead of American Keegan Bradley who's back on 11-under.
