Cricket: NZ losing the art of spin bowling

Related

The art of spin bowling is on the brink of being lost in New Zealand cricket.

With Bruce Martin injured and Daniel Vettori still not ready to return, the Black Caps are playing four seamers into the second test against England.

Opening batsman Peter Fulton says that's a fair reflection of where the country is at.

"There are some reasonable young spinners in domestic cricket, but there is a massive step up between domestic cricket in New Zealand, and bowling to world-class batsmen."

England will resume day four at Headingley on 116 for one, with a lead of 296 runs.
