There are revelations today that the Education Minister did not know her ministry considered scrapping the Novopay system at the last minute. Labour MP Chris Hipkins quizzed Hekia Parata in Parliament today on her regrets about the rollout of the payroll system. "Was she aware that the Ministry of Education was considering breaking the contract with Novopay provider Talent2, only two weeks before she signed off the implementation, and if not, why not?" Ms Parata responded: "Mr Speaker, I was not advised of that." Hekia Parata admitted she would do things differently with hindsight. Photo: NZ Herald |
