Ian Grant steps down from The Parenting Place

By: Juliette Sivertsen | New Zealand News | Monday May 7 2012 13:25

The founder of one of New Zealand's key parenting organisations is stepping away after nearly two decades of involvement.

Ian Grant of The Parenting Place, formerly Parents Inc, and his wife Mary first began the business back in 1993 out of their garage, putting together parenting seminars.

Now, the organisation has 72 staff around the country offering a range of programmes.

CEO Bruce Pilbrow says Mr Grant's inspiration leadership has been replicated and embodied in the governance and management teams of the organisation.

He'll now become an honorary trustee of the Parenting with Confidence Charitable Trust.
