Christchurch City Mission prepares for lunch

| New Zealand News | Tuesday December 25 2012 11:44

Christchurch's City Missioners and volunteers are preparing to feed hundreds of hungry mouths this afternoon.

The team are hosting their annual lunchtime meal - which starts at midday at Christchurch East School.

City Missioner Michael Gorman expects about 650 people, and says it needs good organisation.

"We've got 140-odd volunteers and they will take the food from the hall over to the marquee where the people who are guests will be served their lunch."

There's no need to sign up for the lunch.

Anyway who wants to can just make their way to the school.
