Average house price hits $428,000

By: Newstalk ZB staff | New Zealand News | Friday March 8 2013 15:07

Nationwide house prices rose further last month.

The latest monthly property value index shows values rose 6.3 percent over the 12 months to February, with the average house price just over $428,000.

QV.co.nz Research Director Jonno Ingerson says the increase has been driven by growth in most of the main cities.

Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin all had increases, however values have remained flat in Tauranga.
