The Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union is raising questions about the future of Air New Zealand's call centre staff, as the airline looks to streamline. 80 temporary staff who currently deal with the airline's bookings, sales and general customer enquiries, are set to be out sourced to IBM. EPMU spokesperson, Strachan Crang says there are still question marks over the airline's fulltime workforce. "We haven't yet got a straight answer from the company - whether this is a first initial step, or whether it's going to be a commitment from the airline to keep the remaining jobs in house."
