Rugby: Conrad Smith won't play this weekend

Conrad Smith will stay on with the Hurricanes in South Africa but won't play this weekend.

The All Blacks centre was knocked out cold during Sunday's loss to the Bulls.

But Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett says Smith has recovered remarkably well.

"He's doing very well actually, he's in a very good state.

"He came down to training with us, he took a very limited part in that.

"In terms of his general wellbeing and general feeling he's very up, probably more so than he thought he would be as well."

The Hurricanes face the Cheetahs on Saturday morning.
