On September 11, 2001, four planes were hijacked and flown towards targets on the East Coast of the USA.
In an event that has had wide political, international, economic and financial ramifications, two of the planes were crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre in New York, and another plane was crashed into the Pentagon.
The fourth plane crashed into a field, after the hijackers were overpowered by passengers.
Newstalk ZB kept New Zealanders in the know that day with the latest developments as they came in. Listen back to our archive from that day.
In part six, Newstalk ZB Drive host Larry Williams gets the latest information including interviews with correspondent Richard Arnold, Wall St Journal's Robin Sidel, Political Editor Barry Soper, news updates from Niva Retimanu, and a call Leighton Smith had with someone who was in the building when the planes hit.
