Wellington Firebirds pace bowler Hamish Bennett is retiring from professional cricket, after a 17-year domestic career for both Canterbury and Wellington.

Bennett made 265 domestic appearances, claiming 489 wickets and being a part of 12 domestic titles.

He made 31 appearances for the Black Caps across all three formats.

Bennett spoke to Adam Cooper about why the time's right to bow out, and what's next.
