A whole heap of questions & answers about the Chiefs.

Is 0-5 reason to be concerned?

Of course it is, no team wants to be winless and certainly not the only team to have beaten the Crusaders so far in 2020.

Has Warren Gatland suddenly become a bad coach?

Key word there is suddenly. No he hasn't and idiotic to even suggest it.

Who's to blame then, the players?

Essentially yes. They've been in winning positions and simply haven't been able to close out.

Would starting Cruden help or have helped?

Maybe. But it's a bit like asking if having a fully fit Brodie Retallick would benefit the side. Hypothetical solutions aren't of practical help.

Will this winless start hinder their players All Blacks prospects?

Not really. The selectors look at many many things but not sure that a team's losing streak carries too much selectorial sway.

Can the refs and/or TMO's be blamed for the Chiefs run of losses?

Too easy to blame the officials. Yes there are debatable decisions, there are in every game, but overall no great anti-Chiefs conspiracy theory to bother with.

Is it psychological now, has this inability to close out a win become its own issue?

Damn straight it has. 31-7 up then conceding 26 unanswered is as much mind as it is matter.

Does all this mean we should reconsider Sam Cane's position as AB captain?

Don't be stupid and shame on you for even asking.

Can the season be resurrected?

Not in terms of where they'll finish but to win the last 3 games would certainly be the right way to finish.

Can it get any worse?

Clearly it can. To go through the entire comp winless would be a total disaster.

And finally, who feels worse right now Warren Gatland or Todd Payten?

Todd. Because whatever happens from here at least he knows he'll still be there next.
