New Zealand Cricket and Westpac Stadium have apologised for removing a banner promoting sexual consent during last night's Twenty20 international clash between the Black Caps and India.

The banner, which read "No means no", was directed at Black Caps all-rounder Scott Kuggeleijn, who was found not guilty of rape in a trial in 2017.

TVNZ Sunday journalist Mark Chrysall and PR specialist Michelle Boag joined The Panel on The Weekend Collective to discuss the incident, along with the other big issues making news this week, including:

- Liam Neeson said in an interview that he is "ashamed" to think he once stalked the streets looking for a black man to kill after someone close to him told him she had been raped.

- A secondary school student who had to shave off his beard or be sent to the principal's office believes his human rights have been breached.

- The fire wreaking havoc near Nelson is burning into its fifth day, covering 2100ha with a perimeter of 27km.
