Police are checking up on newly arrived travellers... to make sure they're complying with our strict new quarantine rules.

Since Sunday night, all travellers - except from the Pacific Islands - must self-isolate for 14 days.

The Prime Minister's telling people who arrived in the country before border restrictions were imposed last weekend to self isolate.

Jacinda Ardern says it's the easiest way to stop the community spread of Covid-19.

Ardern says it's the most sensible, safest thing to do for the community around you.

Amongst those isolating are journalist Frances Cook and commentator Liam Hehir, who joined Andrew Dickens live from their homes.
