A resurgence is underway for New Zealand’s magazine industry after the massive blow it was dealt with the closure of Bauer Media back in March.
In the last week or so we have seen the return of iconic New Zealand magazines The Listener and Woman’s Day.
But there are also some new kids on the block.
School Road Publishing, an independent New Zealand owned media company is about to unleash their offerings.
The new stable of four magazines are edited by long time magazine industry heavyweights Wendyl Nissen, Vanessa Marshall, Sarah-Kate Lynch and led by seven-time Women’s Magazine Editor of the Year Sido Kitchin.
Kitchin joined Francesca Rudkin to discuss the triumphant return of magazines.
