While the world has been worried about Covid-19, an asteroid skimmed past our planet last week with barely a mention in the media.

2020 HS7 had a 10% chance of hitting Earth, passing only 26,000 miles away from the centre of the earth.

That's close enough to make it one of the 50 closest on record.
